What's Different About the New Wrangler?
Considering how popular the previous generation Wrangler JK was, Jeep engineers and designers clearly had their work cut out for them when improving upon that model. The newest iteration features improved ground clearance of 10.9 inches thanks to riding on an entirely new platform, along with a revamp of the signature seven-slot grille. This iteration also offers customers a revamped hard-top, along with two convertible top options: a Sunrider convertible top that retracts to a choice of two positions, or a power Sky One Touch top that retracts fully with the press of a button.
Performance
Currently Middletown, OH drivers have two engine options for their Jeep Wrangler, starting with the standard 3.6-liter V6 engine that pairs to either a 6-speed manual or 8-speed automatic transmission to power out 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. There's also an available 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 engine that mates to the 8-speed automatic transmission to generate 268 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. Highway fuel efficiency is pretty similar between the two engines, but the turbocharged inline-4 is more efficient when it comes to city driving.
As you'd expect, the Wrangler outshines most SUVs when it comes to off-road performance, thanks to standard skid plates and part-time four-wheel drive. When it comes to key off-roading and rock-climbing capabilities, no other vehicle in the class matches the Wrangler when it comes to approach, break-over, and departure angles.
When properly equipped, the Wrangler is capable of towing up to 3,500 pounds.

Wrangler Sport
This introductory model comes equipped with such standard features as a rearview camera and a Uconnect® infotainment system that includes a 5-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth® audio streaming, auxiliary and US ports, and an eight-speaker audio system.
Wrangler Sport S
This model adds keyless entry, power windows, A/C, as well as an optional Technology package that upgrades the Uconnect system with a larger screen, satellite radio and Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ smartphone connectivity. There's also an available Cold Weather package that includes remote start, heated steering wheel, and heated front seats.
Wrangler Sahara
Boasting its own unique interior styling, the Sahara features a heavy-duty suspension, 115V power outlet, automatic climate control, and includes the upgraded Uconnect infotainment system as a standard feature.
Wrangler Rubicon
This is the ideal Wrangler to take off-roading, thanks to its performance suspension, front and rear electric locking differentials, and disconnecting front sway bar. Standard interior amenities are the same as offered on the Sahara trim.
